Every member of NASTC has a best driver. We want to know who he or she is. It is very important for you to recognize your drivers for the hard work they do and let them know how much they are appreciated.
Is Your Company Proud of the Safe, Quality People You Employ?
By nominating your best for the NASTC Drivers of the Year Award you are sending a great message not only to that individual but also to all your other employees, customers and the public that your company is proud of the safe, quality people you employ.
We are big proponents of incentive and award programs and know many of you are also. Regardless of how much time you spend recognizing your personnel internally, it just isn't the same as nominating a driver for "National Recognition."
What Does a Best Driver Nominee Receive?
Every nominee will receive a personal letter of appreciation and certificate congratulating him or her on being selected by you for recognition. Finalists will be invited to attend our Fall Seminar in Nashville in November along with their spouse or a guest.
Last year our finalists received $100.00 cash, jackets, plaques, an AC/DC television, press coverage, dinner aboard the General Jackson Showboat, and finally, an award banquet where they, their company representatives and their spouses or guests were our guests of honor.
At the awards banquet, one was selected by random drawing to be the captain of our Team 2005 and was awarded $1,000.00 in cash. This is one of the best things we do. Please send in your nomination today.
What is the Best Driver Award Criteria?
A member attending the seminar asked about the criteria used
for selecting the NASTC Drivers of the Year. He was concerned
that since his company was fairly young that his nomination
would not have the same opportunity to win as those of more
established companies. This is not accurate.
Finalists are
selected for the award based on several factors, but each
and every one that is nominated is a winner as far as we’re
concerned. The fact that you have selected your best for national
recognition makes him or her a winner. The nomination process
does not cost you anything. If your driver is selected as
a finalist, however, we will expect you to go to the expense
of getting them to Nashville for the Fall Conference and come
with them. It will be some of the best money you ever spend
on your drivers.
The deadline for submitting your
candidate
is September 1.
Remember that everyone wins by participating
in this program.
Finalists from previous years are not eligible this year.
