NASTC Fuel Program

The NASTC Quality Plus Network (QPN) fuel program includes all of the features that company owners, managers, and drivers require in a program. The components of the program are designed to work together to provide the trucking company with the most effective fuel purchasing plan available.

FUEL / ADVANCE CARD
The NASTC Quality Plus Fuel Card is administered by Fleet One. It provides the trucking company with a means of purchasing fuel at over 4,500 locations. The card provides daily, weekly, or situational cash advances for the drivers, provides daily billing reports on all fuel and cash advance transactions, giving the company the means to control and monitor all over-the-road expenses.

QUALITY PLUS NETWORK (QPN)
QPN is a limited network fueling program that provides trucking companies and their drivers with some of the highest quality stops available. All of the transactions are computed on a Cost Plus, Retail Minus, or Marquee price whichever is better for the trucking company at the point of sale, ensuring fair pricing to the trucking company every time. The discounts are also true discounts, Not rebates, in that they are computed Daily and Subtracted from the billing. The company never has to pay more up front and then wait months for a rebate. The Network includes many truck stops that are already company and driver favorites. The participating truck stops not only guarantee you a fair price every time you buy fuel, but provide your drivers with access to the quality they need to insure maximum comfort and productivity.

QPN ADVANTAGE
The combination of using NASTC Quality Plus Fuel Card and making all of your purchases in the Quality Plus Network allows you to take full advantage of zero transaction fees for fuel purchases and maximum discounts. Over 17 million gallons purchased each month and growing.

Another feature of the QPN program is the Daily Fuel Hedge Alert. This allows NASTC to alert your fuel manager via email and your drivers via text message each business day if the cost of fuel will be moving higher or lower. This is the only way we know that a small company can effectively hedge their fuel cost.

CONTROL
Our QPN cards control the way drivers spend your company’s money. Cash and regular credit cards can’t. QPN cards come with three virtual “pockets”: Fuel, Cash, and Miscellaneous. Funds are put in the appropriate pocket for fleet expenses. You set limits on what drivers can buy and where they can buy it. Then we enforce those limits electronically. Plus, you can “reset” or change limits at any time.

SECURITY
Our QPN card is very secure. You decide what security information your drivers must produce before a transaction is authorized. If a card is lost or stolen it is easy to “turn off”. Plus, drivers don’t like to carry large sums of cash. With this card, they don’t have to and that is safer for everyone.

CONVENIENCE AND FLEXIBILITY
Our QPN card is easy to use. Drivers don’t have to keep up with multiple cards. Instead, they have one card for fuel-ups, tune-ups and travel related expenses, like lodging. We can also leave messages on cards for drivers to “call the office” or “call home”.

PLUSCHEKS
These are perfect when funds are needed but cards aren’t accepted. They work like cash without the liability. They aren’t “live” until you activate them and even then, they can only be used for the exact amount you authorize. PlusCheks deliver flexibility and are excepted anywhere checks are.

ATM SERVICE
Our fleets can use QPN cards for ATM transactions. They work anywhere PIN-based debit cards are accepted, and can be used to withdraw cash from an ATM or pay for products and services at any STAR® participating location.

CASH ADVANCE
Your drivers can use their QPN cards to withdraw a cash advance at truck stops and travel centers across the country. Cash advances are an easy way for drivers to get their funds they need on the road.
